- Senior Report –Restaurant Night at Sea Casa, selling roses for Valentines Day.
- Juniors – Class fundraiser at CPK. Prepare for rally.
- Sophomores – Preparing for a rally – Movie theme during rally. Rallywood.
- Freshmen – just began in the ASG class. They are working on the rally.
- ASB – New freshmen started today in ASG. Next week is National School Counseling Week.
- Feb. 5 – Student Senate
- Feb. 5- lunch rally – 2012
- Poster making date is the week before the rally.
- Feb. 11 – CPT – Student Kindness Lunch
- Rally Feb. 20 – Spring Dance Feb. 28 at TO.

- State Budget
- Budget Cuts – PTSA will be prioritizing cuts. Ron reviewed the budget cutting process.
- Athletic Report – Nicole Funfar – Winter sports are doing well.
- Boys Soccer is doing well.
- Girls Soccer is doing well.
- Boys and Girls BB are struggling a bit.
- Wrestling is struggling a bit.
- Girls Water Polo is doing well.

- Principal’s Update- Ron Lipari
- Construction Update – Ron reviewed the latest info on AC/Heat, fire alarms, stairwell, storm drains.
- Theater remodel – Jason reviewed the construction project for the theater. Jason and Jim and working on a flow plan – to test the movement of students moving from buildings 1 and 4 to building 3.
Lunchtime seating will be changed as well as food cart locations. We might have to change passing period times.
- WASC – 3rd year review – Steve, Ron, Laurie and Deborah K will be working on this. Most of it will be taken from the distinguished school application – which input
- Instruction – Steve Lepire
- Distinguished School – We received notice that our application has been approved. One day visitation will be on 3/25 – CPT day. We highlighted our PLC’s in the application. This visit will validate our application.
- CPT – tomorrow – Jan 28 – tools are given for working with the CPT. Learning log has been provided to outline what is occurring during CPT. The documentation can be used for SSP and WASC. Steve presented this to all of the CVUSD principals. The WHS admin/counseling team wrote a SMART goal. We will be working with students having multiple fails with our Academic Success Group. Each counselor will be working with 10-15 students after school to help them with organization/study skills/HW.
- Parent night for PSAT sponsored by Princeton Review – this was a great success. Over 60 students/parents showed up for this.
- Naviance – we are working on increasing the use of this.
- Feb. 11 CPT – Essay coach for juniors and seniors will be in the library. How to write a good college essay.
- Spring Testing Schedule – usually this is mailed out. However, we are attempting to save money and NOT mail it out. An all call will go out and put it on the website.
- CPT –orientation for AP tomorrow in the Gym from 8 – 9.
- Orientation and Registration – Feb. 25 CPT sophomore counseling. 8 – 9 and at night on that date.
- Registration – will begin and will take place on Zangle.
- Naviance – with help of SS and Science dept. – all 9 and 10 students will be given an opportunity to register on Naviance during class.
- Safety Committee Report – Jason Branham
- Safety Committee – no meeting
- SRO/Threat Assessment – we have a threat assessment plan. See Jason if you have any questions.
- Safety Plan – Voted on and approved unanimously
- Student Parking – more spaces have been released.
- Lunch passes for spring semester will be passed out on Mon and Tues of next week.
- Cyber- bullying – there is new legislation on this. Students can be disciplined for this with the new law.
- State has chosen WHS for a tobacco survey. Jason will be working on this with staff.
- Dean of Students – Jim Marshall
- Prom – at the Ronald Reagan Library.
- Feb. 20 Rallywood.
- March 10 – Motivational Speaker – to talk about setting goals. We have him all day. Special segment after school for teachers.
- March 11 – Future Warrior Night.
- Tele Parent – new all call system will begin at the end of the month.
- ACA- Jazz band concert Thurs, Fri Sat.
- Public Concerns – none
- ELAC report – Kendall Madden – 2nd ELAC meeting with the CELDT results will be distributed next Thurs. Reclassification will be on the agenda.
- Media Center – Julie Speerstra – Poetry Out Loud results will be presented. A number of history and science projects are being done.

- Department Reports:
Foreign Language- CPT – meet in grade levels and discuss goals. NHHS went to lunch at Dos Los Amigos. 30 students visited Olvera Street and saw a play. Marlene Roselli was foreign language teacher of the month
Counseling – no report
English –CPT is having a benchmark assessment of the writing. PTSA needs a list of reading books for Honors, AP, CP.
Special Ed –10th grade Resource teachers are working with students on the CAHSEE test prep.
Science – Bio classes are doing the Amgen lab. Brain night occurred – students used saws to cut out the brains. A special guest in Anatomy who wrote Burn Unit – Barbara Rabbich will be visiting. Feb. 20 AA Talent Show.
VAT – no report
WIT Academy – no report
Social Science – getting ready for AP sign ups.
Math – Finished finals, CPT results of finals. Alg 2 teachers put together a review. Proceeds go to Mike Maki scholarship. Published it on line for students as well.
PE – no report
Perf Arts – Civic Arts plaza this Sunday – the Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra performed. Guest appearance by WHS brass band was wonderful.
- DAC report – Sue Doyle – DAC –will be responsible for finalizing all budget recommendations for the board.
- PTSA – Roxanne Brown – need list of English books, and student PTSA will be starting Manna.
- GATE/DAC – Roxanne Brown – no report
